Regional Sales Director – China
Location: Shenzhen
Job Description
• Responsible for our sales activity in China.
• Retire multi-million dollar annual sales quotas associated with our entire product line of high availability hardware, telecommunication protocol software and professional services.
• Achieve annual "design win" targets.
• Identify and qualify opportunities within customer organizations.
• Develop and maintain a detailed sales funnel that details all open opportunities and progress toward realizing associated revenue potential.
• Create and publish detailed strategic account plans for accounts identified by management.
• Prepare detailed written proposal, price quotations, and associated customer presentations.
• Coordinate the efforts of Field Sales Engineer and other team members assigned to support the territory.
• Interact extensively with our engineering, customer support, marketing, product management and other departments to ensure that there is a clear understanding of customer requirements, and to assist in the resolution of customer problems.
• Publish weekly summaries of work performed and open tasks.
Requirements
• BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or other technical area. MA/MS/MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a quota bearing technical sales position for a recognized company that sells into the same markets as ours. Must provide documentation of having achieved/exceeded annual multi-million dollar sales quota over multiple years. Preferably with experience, selling platform solutions or equipment to the telecom equipment manufacturers.
• Desired: 10 years or more progressive experience in challenging sales leadership assignment for a large, publicly traded company that sells into the major telecom vendor in the Mobile Wireless, IN and VoIP markets.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of both ATCA system and cPCI system in customer interaction; technical knowledge of Linux environments in customer interaction.
• Knowledge of Mobile Wireless, DPI and Femtocell engineering requirements in the context of evolving industry standards and the products being developed by our customers to address market needs.
• Exceptional ability to interact with customers at the Senior Executive level. Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to work remotely and with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 60% domestically and internally as required.
